Lil’ Kickers Coach

The Lil’ Kickers program is in search of highly qualified individuals to share their talents with the children in our classes. Lil’ Kickers is a child development program based around the game of soccer. The Lil’ Kickers Instructor will lead small groups of children (from age 18 months to 12 years old) through a series of games and activities that help promote a child’s physical and social growth.

More information and expectations:

  • Classes are typically weekday mornings and afternoons, and Saturday mornings
  • Training in teaching and child development is provided and ongoing
  • The qualified individual will be energetic, creative, and patient
  • Experience working with children under the age of 4 years old is highly regarded
  • The position is part-time and a 1 year commitment to the program is preferred

Lil’ Sluggers Coach

The Fredericksburg Field House is currently seeking coaches for our Lil Sluggers program in Fredericksburg, VA. Lil Sluggers™ Baseball is an introductory baseball program for ages 2-6. This position is part-time and includes some weekday and Saturday/Sunday hours teaching classes. This is a part-time, year-round position, so please do not apply if you are looking for full-time or temporary work. Compensation package includes paid training.

Perfect for pre-school teachers, teacher aids, baseball coaches and players who enjoy teaching and interacting with toddler and preschool age children.

Job Requirements

  • Use patience and caring to motivate and engage kids in activities
  • Prepare for class using curriculum that includes detailed lesson plans
  • Be able to give clear explanations/demonstrations of activities
  • Deal effectively with inappropriate behavior without alienating the child
  • Allow for flexibility if classes are not going well
  • Ability to make kids smile and laugh
  • Establish a nurturing, fun relationship with children
  • Must have experience working with children

Lil’ Laxers Coach

The Lil’ Laxers program is in search of highly qualified individuals to share their talents with the children in our classes. Lil’ Laxers is a Lacrosse program  that introduces children (Ages 5 to 10) to the basic fundamentals of Lacrosse. The Lil’ Laxers Instructor will lead small groups of children through a series of games and activities that help promote a child’s physical and social growth.

  • Classes are typically weekday mornings and afternoons, and Saturday/Sunday mornings
  • Training in teaching and child development is provided and ongoing
  • The qualified individual will be energetic, creative, and patient
  • Experience working with children is highly regarded

Lil’ Sweepers is a Field Hockey program  that introduces children (Ages 5 to 10) to the basic fundamentals of Field Hockey. The Lil’ Sweepers Instructor will lead small groups of children through a series of games and activities that help promote a child’s physical and social growth, all while teaching them Field Hockey.

Cook/Concessions Staff

Job Description/Requirements:

  • Prepare food for Field House customers
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen
  • Must have some previous cooking experience.
  • Must be able to use the following kitchen equipment:
    • Fryer
    • Grill
    • Flat top
    • Pizza oven

Cleaning Crew

Job Description/Requirements: 

  • Responsible for cleaning the facility
  • Able to communicate well with staff and follow directions
  • Dependable and able to stay on task 
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, early and late shifts
  • Experience in cleaning preferred
