Hockey Stars

New Session of Hockey Stars Starts Wednesday February 1st!

When: Wednesday’s from 6pm-7pm. Classes begin Feb 1st and end Feb 29th.

Cost:$65 per player. 5 weeks, Tee shirt included

Ages: 4-6 year olds

Equipment: Players must provide their own stick, shin guards and mouth guard

Players will learn the basics of hockey in a fun and positive environment. We will go over correct use of the stick, ball control, skills and techniques needed at this age to develop into better players. Players will learn in small group settings using fun and active games.

High School and Middle School Hockey- keep your team together and fit over the winter by playing in the 7v7 league. It’s a great way to improve on your skills and stay active. The 7v7 format focuses on a quick passing and possession game.

1st-3rd and 4th-6th Grade Hockey- For all skill levels. Sign up as a team or as an individual. Individuals who wish to stay together may request so in the comments section of the online registration.

Adult Hockey- Adult coed hockey plays on Sunday evenings. A new Women's Division will start in January of 2012 and play on Wed or Sunday's. Please click the adult link for up to date league registration.

Field House Field Hockey

The Fredericksburg Field House offers field hockey for men, women, and girls of all ages and skill level. We have leagues, camps, clinics, and tournaments of all types. Camps, clinics and tournaments are offered throughout the year, so check our website often for the next event.

Seasons

Adult- Field hockey season run 5 seasons a year.

Field hockey seasons will continue to be created for both adult and youth. They run approximatley in March (spring season), May (summer), August (fall), October (holiday), and January (winter).

Youth hockey- The Field House offers two seasons of hockey. We offer clinic work in our holiday season and league play in our winter season. We also offer high school hockey in our winter season.

Field Surface

Our fields are the new evoluation in sport turf. This state of the art synthetic grass is safer than real grass due to the regularity of the surface (i.e., no field holes or divets). It consists of 2" synthetic grass infilled with shredded rubber that provides cushioning.

League Information

Field hockey leagues are 8 weeks long - 7 regular season games and 1 post-season game
Players can sign up with a private team or as an individual
Minimum roster size is 10 players, there is no maximum number of players
All adult and youth league games are 7 vs 7
No metal or screw in spikes - solid cleats, indoor football shoes, or sneakers preferred

Clinic Information

7 or 8 week programs
Weekday and weekend offerings
Low student to instructor ratio

Registration

New registration procedures for the 2010 Holiday Season:

All participants must pay at time of registration.
All online and phone registrations require credit card payment at time of registration (no pay later option available).
Payments can be made at the Field House check in center with cash, check or credit card.
All groups will have a regular registration fee and a late registration fee. Dates will be posted at the beginning of registration.
No players can be added to the roster unless paid in full.
Any player joining a roster on or after the 6th regular season game is required to pay a reduced $40 registration fee.

The Field House offers a full variety of leagues, camps and clinics for youth and adult players.
