Interested in playing Coed soccer... excellent! League games are played mostly on Tuesdays and Thursdays(see the list below).
Every team must register two women on the roster. During games, at least two female players per side must be present on the field at all times. If a team is unable to meet this requirement, then they must play down one male player until another female arrives. One female player on each team must be present to begin a game. If a player is over the age of 50 they can be counted as a "female" player.
Some general information
- Soccer leagues are 8 weeks long - 7 regular season games and 1 post-season game
- 6 players per side (4 are required to avoid a forfeit)
- All teams must provide their own ball
- Every player is required to bring a white and dark colored shirt to every game
- All player fees must be paid in full prior to the first game (see rules for exceptions)
- There is no maximum number of players per roster
- No metal or screw in spikes - solid cleats, indoor soccer shoes, or sneakers preferred
- Shin guards are required
- Any Player over the Age of 50 counts as a girl
Team captains must register themselves and their team information no later than 2 weeks prior to the first game to guarantee a spot in the league. Late team registrations will be considered and is at the sole discretion of the League Director, depending on field availability and league size.
All teams must have a minimum roster of 7 players. Captains can request the assistance of the League Director to help fill their rosters with individual players looking for teams.
Players that register at least 1 week before the first game will pay the regular league rate of $75.00. Players that register less than 1 weeks before the first game will pay a late registration fee. This includes individual players and players registering on a private team.
Now to get you registered here are some things to consider:
1) Do you have a team or do you need help finding one?
- I am the captain of a private team: If you are registering a new team and you are the captain, coach, or primary contact please sign up as a "New Team--Team captain registration". You will pay for your registration only and your teammates will sign up under "With a team--joining a private team".
- My captain has registered and I need to join that private team: You will register under "With a team--joining a private team". Under the Team Information heading, use the drop down menu to find and highlight the team you are joining. You will pay for your registration at that time.
- I am an individual. I need help finding a team: Please register as an "Individual--Need help finding a team". The League Director will compile these players and place them on a structured team.
2) Are you looking for a competitive or recreational league?
Coed 1 is the most competitive- ex college level players, good soccer players
Coed 2 is fairly competetive. Current senior high school players, good soccer players, ex college players
Coed 3 is for the players whos skills are a little rusty or maybe just not all the way there. These players probably played high school soccer at one point of there life or maybe college back in the day. This group has a good mix of yound and old.
Coed 4 is for those players who might be new to the game or just a bit slow. This group has a good mix of young and old, it is intended for the Parks and Rec level player.
This is very important. Use the league description below to assist you in your decision.
If you are not sure, please feel free to email the League Director (Jrollins@fredfieldhouse.com). He will be able to give you insight to help you decide.
