2012 Winter Youth Recreational Soccer Season

 PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE MOVING TO THE REGISTRATION PROCESS

Youth Recreational Soccer is an opportunity for your child to continue to play throughout the winter months when the weather limits outdoor options.  Youth Recreational Soccer is designed for Parks and Recreation players, ASDL players, the seasonal player, and for those new to soccer.  The Recreational division does not include and is not the place for travel teams, Classic teams or teams which are preparing to enter a club division - check the Youth Competitive Soccer division.  Parks and Recreation teams may register together or players may register as individuals.  Players who register as individuals will be placed on a Field House team, which will be created just prior to the beginning of the season.  When registering as an individual you may only request to play with two other players.  If you are requesting to play with more than 2 other players you must register them as a team and also coach that team.  When registering, it is vital to include an email address as email is the primary mode of communication for the Field House.  Registration price is based both on the time of registration and the time of payment so the earlier a player is registered and paid for, the better the price.  Registration is not complete until all player fees have been settled. 

This is a coed league although some teams may have either all girls or all boys on a team.  The league does not include practice time and is a game only league.  A parent volunteer coach is required for each team; we recommend that two or three parents volunteer in order to share the responsibility.  Game jerseys will be provided for teams.  Players may play up in an age group, but players are not permitted to play in a younger age group.  Games for ages 8-15 could start as early as 7.00 AM on a Saturday or Sunday depending on the response to the league.

League Information

• 8 week leagues -- 7 regular season games and 1 post-season game
• Players can sign up with a private team or as an individual
• Minimum roster is 10 players, no maximum number of players   
• No metal or screw in spikes - solid cleats, indoor soccer shoes, or sneakers preferred
• Shin guards are required
• Field House will provide a shirt

All payments are due before December 31, 2011. 

Schedules are subject to change! Do NOT print schedule, but instead check the schedule on the website every week a few days prior to play.  Each team must have a volunteer parent coach, although we recommend that two or three parents work together to share the coaching responsibility.  We want to remind all parents, coaches, and players that this league is a recreational league.  All teams will play 8 games. Game times may vary from the listed time below. The winner of the group will be announced as champion.  Please be respectful to all players and parents.  All children should receive equal playing time.

• I am the captain of a private team: If you are registering a new team and you are the captain, coach, or primary contact please sign up as a "New Team--Coaches registration only". You will not pay for your registration of the team only.  Once the team is registered your teammates will sign up under "With a team--joining a private team".

• My captain has registered and I need to join that private team: You will register under "With a team--joining a private team". Under the Team Information heading, use the drop down menu to find and highlight the team you are joining. You will pay for your registration at that time. 

• I am an individual. I need help finding a team: Please register as an "Individual--Need help finding a team". The League Director will compile these players and place them on a structured team.
